The Preschool and Early School Education program prioritizes the implementation of the educational standards preparing graduates for the profession of preschool and early school teachers (grades 1–3 of primary school).
In accordance with the educational standards, this program enables students to acquire knowledge, skills, and social competencies in the following areas:

psychological and pedagogical preparation, including the foundations of pedagogical practice, preschool and early school pedagogy, and basic psychology for teachers;
-
subject-matter preparation for preschool and grades 1–3 teachers, including readiness to integrate teaching content;
-
supporting the development of children in preschool and early school age;

the basics of integrated teaching didactics in preschool and grades 1–3 of primary school;
-
methodology of various types of education, with attention to methods of integrating knowledge and skills;
-
working with children or students with special developmental and educational needs in preschool and grades 1–3;
-
organization of preschool and school work, including elements of educational law and children’s rights.
