BVLOS Drone Pilot Course with Funding Opportunities

We have many years of experience in organizing and conducting drone operator training courses.

We are certified to provide UAVO training for both VLOS and BVLOS operations, across all categories: NSTS-01, NSTS-02, NSTS-03, NSTS-04, NSTS-05, NSTS-06, NSTS-07, and NSTS-08.You can find us in the official register of the Civil Aviation Authority under number S146 as a training entity and E162 as an examination center.

Our certifications ensure that the training we offer meets the highest standards.

Training

01

The high quality of our training is ensured by our university’s team of instructors, as well as by our partner training centers.
We offer training in the Open category (including supplementary courses and instructor-led flight hours) and the Specific category (in accordance with standardized scenarios as defined by regulations).

Instructors

02

Our instructors are not only flight experts, but also specialists in photogrammetry, multispectral imaging, geodesy, and GIS (Geographic Information Systems).
They stand out for their extensive knowledge and experience in these technical fields, their professional approach during flight operations, as well as their passion and dedication.

Theory

03

Theoretical training is conducted by our instructors in real-time e-learning format — giving you the opportunity to interact directly and ask questions during live sessions.

Practical Training

04

Our instructors will schedule and carry out the practical training sessions with you — as close to your place of residence as possible.

Experience

05

Thanks to the experience and dedication of our instructors, we are confident that we will train you to become a skilled and satisfied professional drone operator.

Examination

06

We will prepare you for and conduct the official state examination. Upon passing, as a pilot trained by our instructors, you will obtain the necessary certification to operate drones in accordance with the scope of the completed training.

Drone Pilot

NSTS-06 BVLOS MR up to 25 kg

European and National Drone Flight Authorizations

The training includes 30 clock hours, consisting of:

16 hours Real-time e-learning sessions with an instructor
11 hours Individual practical drone flight training with an instructor, conducted at a flight area closest to the participant’s place of residence
3 hours Examination

Who Is This Training For?

This course is designed for beginners — taking participants from zero experience to confident and skilled drone pilots. After completing the training, you will gain advanced skills and official certification.
The BVLOS MR 25kg authorization allows you to operate unmanned aerial vehicles beyond visual line of sight, perform automated flights using applications, fly heavier multirotor drones up to 25 kg, as well as operate any drone up to 4 kg within visual line of sight (VLOS).

The practical training is tailored to each participant’s individual skill level and progresses gradually.
The theoretical part introduces essential topics such as aviation law, operational procedures, and airspace structure — all of which are applied during hands-on training and flight preparation.

Course Content and Scope

  • Aviation regulations

  • Operational procedures

  • Technical and operational risk mitigation measures in the air

  • Flight mission planning applications for BVLOS operations, such as DJI Pilot, DJI GS Pro, DroneDeploy, Litchi

  • BVLOS missions using onboard cameras and telemetry data

  • UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) components and systems

  • Basics of thermal imaging

  • Basics of aerial photography and videography

  • Photogrammetry applications

  • Photogrammetric data analysis

  • Orthophoto maps

  • 3D modeling

  • Human performance limitations

  • Meteorology

  • Technical and operational ground risk mitigation measures

  • Step-by-step process for obtaining flight permissions

The Examination Authorizes the Participant to Perform:

  • Visual Line of Sight (VLOS) operations

  • Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations

  • First-Person View (FPV) drone flights

  • Flights with drones weighing up to 4 kg

  • Flights with multirotor drones weighing up to 25 kg

Training Cost: 6000 PLN

Certification and Examination

The course concludes with an official state examination conducted by the Academy of Applied Sciences (ANS).
Upon passing the exam, the participant receives the NSTS-06 authorization issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of Poland.

For professional drone operations, we offer training in the “specific” category.
Flights in this category are conducted with drones kept within 120 meters from the closest point on the ground and at a safe distance from people.

Depending on your needs and the type of unmanned platform you use, we offer training for the following categories under national standard scenarios:
NSTS-01, NSTS-02, NSTS-03, NSTS-05, NSTS-06, and NSTS-07, covering both multirotor and fixed-wing drones up to 25 kg MTOM, operated within visual line of sight (VLOS) or beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS).

Available Training Scenarios and Prices:

  • NSTS-01 – VLOS or FPV operations with drones up to 4 kg: 900 PLN

  • NSTS-02 – VLOS operations with multirotor drones up to 25 kg (includes NSTS-01): 1700 PLN

  • NSTS-05 – BVLOS operations with drones up to 4 kg (includes NSTS-01): 1400 PLN

  • NSTS-06 – BVLOS operations with multirotor drones up to 25 kg (includes NSTS-01 and NSTS-02): 6000 PLN

  • Other NSTS scenarios – available upon request

Exam and Certification

Passing the exam for the specific category also qualifies you for the A2 category exam.
To obtain A2 certification, you only need to submit a declaration confirming completion of self-directed practical training.

The “Certificate of Competency for Remote Pilots of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS)” issued by the Polish Civil Aviation Authority is valid throughout the European Union.
According to current regulations, this document is required for individuals and companies conducting commercial drone operations with multirotor (MR) or fixed-wing (A) aircraft.

For recreational, sport, and even commercial drone flights, we offer training in the open category.
Flights in this category require maintaining the drone at a maximum altitude of 120 meters above the nearest point on the ground, and at a safe distance from people — at least 30 meters, or 5 meters in A2 category when flying in low-speed mode.

A1/A3, A2 – 150 PLN per hour
The training consists only of a practical component, conducted in accordance with the requirements of the Polish Civil Aviation Authority.
As part of this course, we prepare you for the A2 theoretical exam.

Depending on your needs, we offer training in the following A-category subcategories:

  • A1 (C0 and C1 class drones)

  • A2 (C2 class drones)

  • A3 (C3 and C4 class drones)

This includes multirotor and fixed-wing drones ranging from 0.25 kg to 25 kg, operated within visual line of sight (VLOS).

The Certificate of Competency for Remote Pilots of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) issued by the Polish Civil Aviation Authority is valid throughout the European Union.
Under current regulations, this certificate is required for individuals and companies operating drones of multirotor (MR) or fixed-wing (A) type for recreational, sport, or commercial purposes.
